set of 200 ivory poker chips (excellent condition) in unique Victorian rack

DESCRIPTION
:  Here is a chance to pick up something very few chip collectors  have -- a 200-chip set of antique, full-size, ivory poker chips in very fine condition.  Also included in this auction is the unique Victorian-era rack.

the chips: there are 75 white chips, 25 yellow, 50 red and 50 dark navy blue -- 200 ivory poker chips in all.  The chips are 1-7/16 inches -- a shade under an inch and a half.

the rack:  I have never seen a rack like this.  Its chief value is in its uniqueness and quaint Victorian art nouveau look.  It is undoubtedly 19th century.  It has been described as a "poker chip casket."  It is covered in red velours with very fancy art nouveau punched tin decoration on the front, sides and top. Inside is blue satin textile. There are two latches --  on the front to keep the "doors" closed, and another hidden under the lid.  There is a drawer at the lower front to store two decks of cards and dice (not included).  The eight columns  comfortably  hold the 200 ivory chips.

CONDITION
: The chips are in very fine-excellent condition.  No problems to speak of.  No cracks or nicks, not even edge cracks.  The nerve holes are practically non-existant, they are so slight.  The colored rims are practically perfect; perhaps a few chips (out of 200) have some worn or slightly mottled color.

The rack is another story.  It is worn.  Some of the tin is nicked.  Most likely there is a missing piece of tin on the front of the drawer.  The two hinges for the lid are OK, but there are some missing brads that hold the hinges in place (each hinge has 6 holes for brads), and some of the brads (very fine nails, almost like pins) extend past the top.  They could be replaced with little effort.  Meanwhile, open the lid gingerly.  Otherwise, the rack is sturdy.  The two "doors" open nicely. </p>
